John 19:16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus and led him away.
John 19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
John 19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Today is Good Friday. The day we commemorate Jesus’ death for man. Think of that, the King of glory, God’s only begotten son died for sinful humans like you and me.
What a glorious thought. God so loved the whole world, everybody, not a select few but every man, woman, boy, and girl. He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die in our place. To pay the sin debt. Thank you, Jesus, for dying in our place.
Today we see Jesus on the cross. Hanging there bleeding and dying, going through the separation from His Father. Naked, in shame, but in full control. In a short time, He will dismiss His spirit. He has already asked the Father to forgive those tormentors and executioners. He has asked “why” knowing I was the reason. He will cry “It is Finished”
Joseph of Arimathaea and Nicodemus will bury our Saviour in a borrowed tomb. It may look bleak, but remember it may be Friday but Sunday is coming.
Halleluiah what a Saviour!
Be Blessed,
Bro. Dewayne
