Job 13:15
¹⁵  Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

This may be the primary verse in Job.  The central lesson that is intended for us to learn.  The complete trust of the believer in His God.

Would it surprise you the word trust is a word that means “to wait, to be patient with hope”.  It is the idea of full dependence and trust upon a God who loves us and is giving His very best for us.

Waiting is a huge battle we all face.  The battle of waiting occurs in the mind.  The wicked one will use the time to plant doubt and fear in our mind.  He constantly attacks with wild scenarios and fearful “results”.  The doubt he plants grows into questioning whether our Father loves us or even cares at all about us.  The wicked one fires fiery dart after fiery dart to make us feel as if there is no help or relief coming.  It drives us to take matters in our own hands using our tactics and schemes.  The whole time the devil tells us we know best.

It is a lie.  He is a liar.  Jesus said so. Our Lord called him the Father of a lie.  He lied to Eve in the Garden of Eden and he has not stopped since.

Job had concluded God can be trusted.  He had determined he would trust Him.  Even through the darkest valley imaginable.  Was it difficult? Of Course!  Was it worth it? Yes, a thousand times yes.  The Lord blessed Job over and again after the test.  But that is not the point.  If the Lord never did another thing for me He is still worthy.  He has already blessed me more than I deserve.  He saved me.  Bless His Name.
