 Romans 8:26-29 (KJV)
26   Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

I could not help myself. It is 8/28 so we go to Romans 8:28, but not just that one verse but all of the verses above. Take a look with me at the structure of the verses. Verses 27 and 28 begin with the conjunction “and”. It means they are linked in with the previous verse. It all begins with the promise that the Spirit, that is the Holy Spirit, helps us with our infirmities. He even helps us when we do not know how to pray about our situation. He helps us when we do not know how to help ourselves.

So very often we are at our “wits end.” What we are really saying is I do not know what to do! That is where the Holy Spirit of God comes in. That is His job. To be our helper, comforter, even our prayer warrior. He is THERE for US!

Praise His Holy Name!!!

Jesus said “I will not leave you comfortless.” But in this same verse He equates the Spirit of God with himself by saying “I will come to you.” We have Jesus living within in the person of the Holy Spirit with the assignment to help us. Since we are all human I can make this statement for us all.

I Need Help!

It is all for the purpose of being conformed to His Image. I will talk with you about this last part tomorrow. For now, REJOICE. We have a helper.

  Be Blessed,
