Ecclesiastes 3:1-2,8 (KJV)
¹  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
²  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
⁸  A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

 Today is my youngest brother’s birthday. His name is Mike. He is 31/2 years younger than me. We have another brother, Shane, who is in Heaven (Thank God for Heaven). Our verses today remind us of several things. One is that death is a part of life.

 When my brother Shane died, Mike asked me, ‘Dewayne do you really believe that when Shane was born that God wrote down the day He would die?’ Yes, was my reply. I reminded Mike of Hebrews 9:27 where the Bible tells us we all have an appointment with death. God has made that appointment with us. The key is, are you ready for YOUR appointment. You have to get ready. God knows your appointed time but you do not. Please today, right now place your “faith and trust” in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one “who loved us and gave himself for us.” He died for you and loves you unconditionally.

 One more thing, did you notice I included verse 8, where it says a time to love. Shane, Mike and I had a loving relationship. Our Dad taught us to “stick together.” We shared so many wonderful times together.

 Tell somebody you love them today, before it is too late. Trust Jesus today before it is too late. Don’t Wait.
