 Psalm 40:12-13 (KJV)
¹²  For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
¹³  Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.

 The Psalmist David is going through a trial, a difficulty, a test. The terminology we use to describe it is not my point today. What matters is we are facing a troublesome time. It hurts. We are struggling. We feel like we are about to go under.

 That is basically what David is saying. He is saying I can’t take much more.  We all have felt that way.

 Thankfully, our Lord is pleased to help us. He is ready to deliver us. David even said Lord hurry. Whatever you may be facing you and I have a refuge. A Saviour who loves us, who understands us. Who faced the same trials and temptations we do, yet without sin the Bible tells us. We can make it.

 How? By turning to Him! Call on Jesus to help you. He is a Very Present help in the time of need.

 Do not give up. Ask for help. Speak His Name.
