Psalm 103:1-5 (KJV)
 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

 Thanksgiving day. My mind went to these verses and the thoughts of thanksgiving. The Psalmist David could not help himself. He thought on the “goodness of God.” He remembered all the Lord had done for him. He burst into praise. He literally bowed himself down and lifted his hands and thanked God for all His Benefits.

 David then begins to name some of those benefits. He lists forgiveness, healing, deliverance and more. He is grateful for all of the blessings that the Lord had provided. He was being Thankful.

 As believers we are commanded to be thankful. 1 Thessalonians declare that it is the will of God.  Today’s question is, are you thankful just for a day or part of the day or is it a mindset? It should be! Our Heavenly Father has been good to us. He has provided so much for us. I believe even more importantly, He Is Who He Is!  The Great I Am!

 When we leave Thanksgiving behind, we can lose sight of the blessings. We will eventually lose sight of Him.  On our calendar, we will go into the Christmas season. Please do not lose sight of the one, who came forth at Christmas to bring us the greatest gift of all, His Salvation.

 Be Blessed,
