Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
¹⁵  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

 It is hard to imagine we are two weeks away from Christmas. Three weeks away from a new year.

 Today I want to look at a verse that deals with Christmas. This verse is normally associated with the fall of man and sin and satan. But it is the first mention of Christmas in the Bible.

 How you may ask? Notice the phrase the seed of the woman. Here God sets forth the virgin birth of His Son, Jesus. Jesus had to be the “seed of the woman” because sin entered the world through the act just committed by Adam. The devil orchestrated this when he beguiled Eve and Adam chose to join Eve in her fallen state.

 But focus on the fact from the beginning of this world being plunged into sin, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit had a plan. Jesus would enter into this world through a virgin to redeem mankind by paying the sin debt on the cross of Calvary. That is the Christmas Story.

 The Apostle Paul, said it this way:

1 Timothy 1:15 (KJV)
¹⁵  This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
