Psalm 138:1-8 (KJV)
I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

I love the Psalms. I try to read three Psalms a day and a portion of Psalm 119. The book of Psalms is a collection of Songs. It generally is considered as a Hebrew Hymn Book. Most of the Psalms were written by David. They express his desire to know and worship God. David poured his heart out to the Lord expressing his love and adoration to the Lord.

We need to learn lessons in worship even in the midst of trouble. I want to love and adore the One who has saved me and given me the privilege to know and fellowship with God.

In the highlighted part of verse 7 above you can see where David tells us that even when we get weary in the battles of life that there is a God that can revive, reinvigorate, and re energize us. The Key is to make the Lord God of Heaven our focus. He is the only one that can fulfill us and make life worthwhile. When we focus on Him, everything else looks small.

What are you focused on today?

 Be Blessed,
