Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Today we look at ‘the power of His resurrection’. A phrase that holds a depth of meaning and a lifetime of help. The first thing within the phrase speaks of the cleansing of Salvation. Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification. Notice the last phrase. The resurrection of Jesus sealed our justification that means the power of the resurrection brings about our cleansing of sin and allows the Father to look on us as if we had never sinned at all.  That is what justification means. Not just being declared not guilty but looked upon, in Heaven, as there is no sin on my account.

We are clean the chains of sin are broken. We do not have to sin. We are no longer slaves to our sinful nature. We should not allow our past to ruin our future. We can live free. I do not mean we will never sin again. That we will become sinless, but it does mean we should sin less than before.

I stand before the Father justified.  He does not see my sinfulness He sees Jesus’ righteousness.  Praise His Name. Today begin enjoying the great thought I am justified and live in the freedom of sinning less because of the ‘power of His resurrection’. How? By taking hold of the power of his resurrection.  Tell the Lord you want Him to control and guide you today. The power of the resurrection is first designed for you and me to be something, not do something. Declare in your life today I will walk in the power of the resurrection!

Maybe you will remember the chorus of this great Old Hymn “Oh Glorious Day”.

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh, glorious day,

Be Blessed,
Bro. Dewayne
