Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
We continue our look at ‘the power of His resurrection’. I am afraid that some look at this phrase as a “good luck charm” or a “catch-all” that gives them some sort of confidence that they will walk around with magical superpowers. The power of his resurrection is activated in a believer’s life when they truly seek Christ.
Yesterday we talked of Justification. That is an act of God. He declares us justified. The Heavenly work, if you will. It must be followed by an earthly work. That earthly work is when you and I daily in repentance ask the Lord to forgive our acts of sin. If you and I do not seek the cleansing from the Lord, we cannot know and walk in the power of his resurrection. Can Not happen. Our Father is Holy and Just and He will not allow it. It is why so many things done for the Lord are done in the flesh and without the Touch of God!
You can preach, pray, sing, teach, fix food, along with a dozen other things and none of it be under His touch or His Power. All because we operated with a “dirty” heart and a broken fellowship with the Father. Our Lord wants us to operate in the power of his resurrection; He wants us to walk in fellowship with the Father. It is the reason Jesus came and died in the first place to provide you and me, a way to come back into fellowship with the Father.
Yesterday, I asked you to “declare in your life today I will walk in the power of the resurrection”, today I am asking you to follow that declaration with a total cleansing of your life by examining yourself and repent of and confess to the Father anything that is sin. Not cleaner but totally clean.
Be Blessed,
Bro. Dewayne
