Galatians 4:4-5 (KJV)
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Christmas Eve. Are you ready? Time waits for no one. Surely all of us have said I am not ready for Christmas. Yet, it comes and the years go by.

Our verses today, let us know that time does not catch God by surprise. Everything is always on His time. Galatians four reaffirms this, the phrase “when the fullness of the time was come,” tells us that at God’s time, when He determined it was time, Jesus came. Our Heavenly Father does nothing by accident or coincidence. He is always purposeful and deliberate.

Our verses uphold and reiterate  all the aspects of the Christmas Story. The virgin birth is found in “made of a woman.” The Deity of Jesus, is seen in the phrase “God sent forth His Son.” The sinfulness and redemption of man is seen in the phrase “To redeem them under the law.” The “adoption of sons” means I can now be brought back into fellowship with God as His child.

We are loved so by God that He provided a plan to purchase us out of the slave market of sin. God the Father sent “His only begotten Son” in order that I may be His child! Wow what a story!

I Bless His Name. What about you? Is Christmas more about what the world’s idea of the holiday is or is it a celebration of the birth of our  Saviour? Truly Jesus is the reason for the season. Christmas season and Every season.

 Merry Christmas!

 Be Blessed,
