 Revelation 4:10-11 (KJV)
¹⁰  The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
¹¹  Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

 As we look to close the year, have you considered why you are here? Why were you created? Our verses today tell us. Man was created for God’s pleasure.

 The crowning of God’s creation is man. Everything was created to facilitate man’s existence to allow man to fellowship with God. To glorify God for His creative act. That is what the “elders” are doing in our verses.

 Adam’s sinful choice in the garden plunged the whole world into chaos. Tomorrow we will look at God’s response to Adam’s choice.

 For today, the question is are you fulfilling your purpose in life? Are you bringing glory to God not by what you are doing but by giving God His rightful place in your heart and life. Are you pursuing a loving intimate relationship with your Creator? Are you content in your relationship with the Father? Is it fulfilling?

 If not, why not? He provides us with everything we need. Forgiveness of our sin, a road map in God’s Word, and a guide in the Holy Spirit. You can end this year starting on a journey that God designed for you. A journey of fellowship and communion with your Creator. Start Today
