Psalm 63:3 (KJV)
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Our verse today is the subject of a song my friend, Kurt LaBouve, wrote. He simply put to music the words of the verse, which, by the way, is what the Hebrew people did.

The point of the verse is simple, when we think of how good our God is we will praise HIM!

In the month of November, we focus on being thankful. As believers, we are instructed to be thankful. It is the Will of God the book of 1 Thessalonians tells us. Think of that, we have to be instructed to be thankful. It is a sad truth that we as saved, delivered, blessed people that we too often forget how good God Is to us. Not just has been but He is Now good to us. No wonder the Psalmist told us in another Psalm “forget not all His benefits.”

Today take some time to ponder, not casually, but purposefully, on all of the things the Lord has blessed you with. Then try to imagine all the things He has protected you from. Then think about the fact that the New Testament tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

As I read this verse it baffles me of just how good our God is. We certainly do not deserve all He has done nor all He has planned for us.

I hear Bro. Kurt singing “Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, My Lips Shall Praise Thee.”

 Praise HIM Today.

 Be Blessed,

Bro. Dewayne
