Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
⁵  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

 Black Friday. A day to buy things we do not need, for people who do not need anything. Maybe that is a little too far, but there is some truth to it.

 Our verse today is teaching us that our real satisfaction and contentment should be in the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Not things, not even in the things He provides, but Himself.

 Are you thankful today for Jesus? Just Jesus. God the Son, the Son of God, the Savior of the world. That’s Him. He should be our all in all.

 The pursuit of knowing Him should be our life’s focus. It should be the thing we plan for and work towards. Jesus deserves our Highest Devotion.

 All the “toys” will break or wear out. All the things eventually become “dust catchers.” All the gifts will eventually be forgotten. Only Jesus will ‘never nor forsake.’

 He only is worthy! Focus on HIM today.
