Psalm 63:1-2 (KJV)
1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
I believe more than ever the Lord wants us to walk with Him. To have a relationship with Him. To know Him.
Notice what David is saying. As you know there are many words that are translated God in our King James Bible. Many come from the word “EL.” This is the singular form of the word. David starts out using the familiar Hebrew word Elohim, the plural form. Let me say it this way. O Elohim, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) you are my EL (only God).
David is declaring that our wonderful Triune God is who he is seeking. He wants to know Him. He wants to walk with Him. He wants our God to be his only focus and desire.
Sadly, the world around us today is designed to take our thoughts, focus and desires away from the ONE thing we should be doing, which is Seeking Him! “Life” as we call it. I think it is the excuse we use that is not really an excuse at all. There is really none.
When we think about the extent the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit went to purchase us out of the slave market of sin, there really is no excuse. There is no earthly reason for God to love us but He Loves Us.
We should employ the reasoning when we seek Him: This is the reason for my existence.
Revelation 4:11 (KJV)
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Are you seeking Him? Are you earnestly looking for Him?
Seek Him today!
Be Blessed,
Bro. Dewayne
