Psalm 56:3 (KJV)
³  What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

 I spoke with a friend who was having heart issues. He was afraid. I am not knocking that. I understand, I am sure you do too. Not knowing the future, wondering what is going to happen? Not sure of what tomorrow holds? I get it, it is the same boat we are all in when health issues come up.

 But the real truth is we DO NOT know what tomorrow holds. We never have, we never will. There is a reason James said that we should say “if the Lord will” we will do this or that. But we humans do not like to think about our lack of control so we go on acting as if we have everything “down pat.” So, we stick our head in the sand about life and do our best to never give it a “second thought.” The Psalmist told us not to boast of tomorrow because we do not know what is coming.

 So, what are we to do when fear raises its head? “Trust in thee” is what our verse says. The previous verse says the writer is talking to “O thou Most High.” The God of Heaven, the one who created Heaven and the Earth. That is, He stepped out onto nothing and spoke and our world and all of the universes came forth. God is so big the Worlds cannot contain Him, yet He is so loving and kind that He watches over us. He Loves You.

 Today in the midst of your fear and even your worry and tell Him, Lord I am afraid please help me. He will, I promise, but more importantly He promises He will!
