Psalm 56:3-4 (KJV)
³  What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
⁴  In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

 Yesterday I mentioned my friend that was facing the unexpected. He was fearful. Again, no darts thrown, no shame insinuated. We should all understand.

 But we all face fear. Our verses today again speak to us concerning our response. One of the things that stands out to me is how over and over the Bible tells us to praise when we have problems. How we should assure ourselves in praise. Verse four tells us to “praise His word.”

 The Psalmist affirms how important the Word of God is in our lives. The Bible is God’s instruction book. Someone came up with the acrostic for BIBLE as “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.”  The Bible certainly is that, as well as the deep well of wisdom when we do not know what to do in life. In fact, you and I should trust our Bible above any thing man can come up with. The Word of God must be trusted by “Faith.” Even when the Bible seems hard to understand or when it gives us direction that is difficult to follow. That obedience to HIS Word is what sets us apart as believers. Over and over again the Scripture declares that when someone “believed God” it was accounted unto them for Righteousness.

 I believe this is why the Bible states “without faith it is impossible to please God.” Truly, pleasing God is the reason for our very existence. Trust God and His Word today. Please Him!
