1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
October. Thoughts of Fall even the hope of cooler weather. Things do change quickly.
We are going to continue to look at 1 Corinthians 15:58. Today we look at the word “unmoveable.” The root of the word comes from the word we get kinetic from. Kinetic means to move or to turn. In the Greek text there is an “a” in front of the word to denote the negative. Basically, it means to not move from your spot. Another meaning is to not turn your head.
What a great thought to not turn our head away from the Lord Jesus. There is a great truth here. If we would learn to never look away from Jesus, to always look upon His Face, we would not get ourselves into trouble. If we would be steadfast, that is firmly planted, and unmoveable, that is always looking in the face of Jesus, what a strong Christ-like life we could live.
How is it possible, you ask? We must repent quickly, reposition firmly, and walk faithfully, in the power of the resurrection of Christ. He has overcome the flesh, the world system and the devil. We can also through “Him that loved us, and washed us in His blood.”
Remember we will not easily be distracted nor drift off the course, if we have our eyes on Jesus. Who are you looking at today?
Be Blessed,
Bro. Dewayne
