Psalm 90:9-12 (KJV)
For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11  Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

It’s the last Monday of October. How did we get here so fast? I was told in my youth that the “older you get the faster the time goes.” I may not have believed it then, but I do now.

I think the real answer is I did not understand it then. One of the downfalls of our society today is not sufficiently training our children to make wise decisions in their youth! Often young adults are making decisions they are not prepared for that have long-lasting consequences. Some, if not all, have Eternal consequences.

Our verses today were a reminder from Moses, that is recorded in the Psalms, that our lives tell a story. Moses is looking back; I believe to tell us to grow in wisdom The book of Proverbs tells us in Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

It is an admonition we should all heed. Simply put, get into the Word of God to receive the instruction of God that leads to the Wisdom of God! Don’t wait until it is too late. Spend some time, rather invest some time with the Lord. Start today, you will be glad you did.

 Be Blessed,
