This Psalm was written by Moses. Most Bible Commentators believe Psalm 91 was written by Moses as well. These two Psalms along with the Book of Job are considered the oldest published Bible books.

 The timing of Psalm 90 is during the wandering of the nation of Israel. God had told them they would wander for 40 years. It was a punishment for their lack of Faith. Maybe it was also a lack of wisdom.

 In our verse above Moses reminds us that we only have a certain number of days upon this Earth. He gives us the number of threescore and ten maybe fourscore. A score is twenty years so translated 70 years, maybe 80. The point is our time is short. Too short to make unwise decisions.

 The word apply means to fetch, to run to. What a great thought. Time is short. We should run to and fetch wisdom. To go to where it is at and bring some of it back.

 This truth is monumental. Jesus is wisdom. Run to Him today!
