Psalm 70:4 KJV
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
Psalm 70. Let God be magnified. I continue today with this thought. We talked yesterday about our focus. What are you looking at is the question I asked.
Let’s think about the idea in real life, or maybe today I should say death? I heard recently someone say something to this effect, ‘it is as important to die well as it is to live well.’
I have pondered that thought a lot since that statement. I believe it is not only true but, it is a great truth. Look at John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Consider what the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 14:8 “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. “
Both of these verses point out the importance of dying well. I believe there are two sides of the coin. One for those who are dying, and one for those who are attending to the loved one that is dying.
For today’s thought, think about the one dying. If it is you or me, how will we die? I do not mean medically. I mean, what will our attitude be? Will we be full of regret, or bitterness, or anger? Or will we be full of contentment and gratitude for the Goodness of the Lord. Will we die with the thought of seeing Jesus? I know we all do not want to leave our family and loved ones. I know that most would say, we have much to live for. But death is coming.
Today, right now, get prepared for it. Do whatever you have to, to prepare. First get right with the Lord, second get right with family and friends. Do it now. Do not wait.
Be Blessed,
Bro. Dewayne
