 Psalm 40:17 (KJV)
¹⁷  But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

 I know we have looked at this verse but I am still thrilled that the God of Heaven and Earth thinks upon me. Not that He thinks about me but upon me. He meditates upon me. The Hebrew word used here has a many facets of meaning. One is the idea of meditation. He doesn’t just give us a passing thought. But He actually takes time to consider me.

He knows I am poor and needy. What a truth that is. Yet, the Bible declares He, God, still thinks upon me. He knows our faults and failures and He still cares. I do not know what that does for you, but, it encourages me. Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Our Heavenly Father is so concerned He has a plan for us. That plan begins with His Love toward me and you. I am so glad that His love is unconditional. He does not love me because He Just Loves Me.

Thank you Lord. He loves me. He loves YOU!
