 Psalm 40:17 (KJV)
17  But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

I want to continue our look at the thought the Lord thinks upon us. Another aspect of the meaning of the Hebrew word “thinketh upon” is to weave. As in someone weaving thread together to create a pattern or design in cloth or clothing. It causes me to think about the attention of the one doing the weaving and the forethought and skill in creating the design.

Our Father in Heaven has a plan for our lives, a well “thought out” plan. He is Sovereign, but I also realize we have a free-will that we exercise often times in disobedience to our Father. The one thing we must come to grips with is that His plan is better than our plan. We must realize that the Master Weaver knows what He is doing and we MUST surrender to His Plan for us.

I am sure we can all look back upon decisions we have made and we know they were not according to His Plan. If you are like me, you have said “I wish I would have listened to the Lord.” But thankfully He still thinks upon us when we are “poor and needy.” You cannot change the past, but you can follow His Plan for your future. Trust Him, He is the Master Weaver. He can make it all right.

Be Blessed,

 Bro. Dewayne
