 1 Corinthians 15:51-57 (KJV)
51  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56   The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our verses today show us why we have victory. Not how to have victory, but the fact that victory is already ours. Not because of us or anything we have done, but because of Jesus and what He Has Already Done. He won the victory at the Cross and the Empty Tomb. He overcame death and hell.

He, Jesus has the keys of “Victory”. I know the Bible called them the keys of death and hell. That is because our greatest final enemy is death and hell. He took them from satan when He ‘preached unto the spirits in prison,’ while the body lay in the tomb. He then led ‘captivity captive.’ That is Jesus went into Abraham’s Bosom and led all of the believing Old Testament dead into the presence of the Father based on His shed blood.

Jesus’ resurrection gives us the availability of victory if we would but claim it. We must ask Him to work in us that victory because He has overcome our greatest enemy.

You have victory today. Claim it in Jesus Name!

 Be Blessed,
