Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Yesterday we looked at this verse more from the salvation side. Today I want us to go back to the principle we began with. The reason for the Word of God. In Habakkuk 2 the Lord told the prophet to make it plain. The ultimate reason was so “the just shall live by his faith.”
The Lord God wants us to live by faith, no question about it. He uses the phrase four times in our Bible. So how do we increase our faith? The answer is in our verse.
Reading the Bible is what increases faith. Seeing in the Scripture that our God knows what He is doing even when it doesn’t make sense to us. That is all part of His Plan. He has a way or He makes a way is true. Our Great God Knows What He Is Doing!!!
Our problem is trust. We do not want to let go and trust Him. That is where reading the Bible comes in. The Bible is a record of the successes of Our Heavenly Father. Every time we read it, the Bible tells us how our Father comes through Victorious. He WILL do the same for you and me.
Get in the Bible and the Bible will get into you. It is your sword of protection from fear and doubt.
