1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV)
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Our verse today promises us the certainty of not only Heaven but the fact of our assurance of not going through the tribulation. Jesus took all the wrath of God in judgment of sin on the cross of Calvary. He cried, “It is finished.” Paid in full. Is what the Greek word means. The Hymn writer, Elvina Hall, had it right when she wrote “Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe sin had left a crimson stain He washed it white as snow.”

That seven-year period of time known as the tribulation is when the wrath of God will be poured out on this earth. Jesus paid that price for us. Not only did he pay the price but in verse I Thessalonians 5:11 he told us to comfort one another with this blessed thought.

Today, with all the turmoil in this world, if you are saved, if you know for sure, rejoice your redemption draweth nigh.

Be Blessed,
